I’m pleased to share that my work HONG KONG Urban Arch XVII, part of my Hong Kong series, has recently found a new collector in Hermosa Beach. This series emerged from my time photographing in Hong Kong’s dense financial districts, where architecture becomes both structure and rhythm.

The sweeping architectural lines create a sense of order, while subtle motion and traffic within the frame introduces tension and fluidity in urban space. Rather than documenting the city in a literal sense, the work seeks to translate its atmosphere. Through layering, blur, and tonal reduction, the image moves toward abstraction, allowing viewers to experience the city as a psychological landscape rather than a fixed location.

It’s always rewarding to see a work transition into a new context. The coastal setting of Hermosa Beach offers a compelling contrast to the dense verticality of Hong Kong, opening up new interpretations and resonances within the piece. I’m grateful to see HONG KONG Urban Arch XVII join a private collection
